DR Strings were born in NYC in 1989 and Duane Reade started business in the same city 30 years earlier. Why risk naming your strings after a pharmacy when confusion would so easy to convey?

Whenever I see the letters DR together I think of Duane Reade, the pharmacy that is all over Manhattan — so I giggled a little thinking about guitar strings at Duane Reade.
